6 Easy Ways To Eat More Superfoods

6 Easy Ways To Eat More Superfoods

Superfoods are some of the healthiest and most nutritious foods in the world, and yet many of us don’t eat enough of them! Here are six super simple ways to incorporate more superfoods into your diet without really trying.

  • Set Up A Superfood Sprinkle Station

Nuts and seeds like chia seeds, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds make great superfood sprinkles, as do dried blueberries and goji berries! Sprinkle them on your oatmeal, on yogurt, on cereal, on ice cream, or even on top of salads for an effortless nutritional boost. Make things easy for yourself by setting up a sprinkle station and placing your superfood sprinkles in plain sight, so you remember to add them to your dishes.

  • Pack Super Snacks

Another super-easy way to eat more superfoods is to plan a couple of super snacks each day. By far, the easiest and one of the healthiest super snacks to make is a simple fruit and nut mix packed with delicious dried fruit and nutritious nuts and seeds. One of the great things about fruit and nut mix is that it can be taken with you wherever you go. Why not keep some in your car, in your rucksack, or on your desk at work, so you have access to a superfood snack whenever hunger strikes.

  • Try Drinking Superfood Hot Drinks

If you’re a big tea or coffee drinker, then another easy way to increase the number of superfoods you eat is to swap out your coffee for green tea or some other superfood beverage like a matcha or turmeric latte. These super hot drinks are packed with antioxidants and also have anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Aim To Add One Superfood To Every Meal

If you’re new to superfoods and don’t know which you like and which you don’t, then sometimes it’s best to start small. A fun way to introduce yourself to new superfoods without overhauling your whole diet is to aim to add one new superfood to every meal. This could be a new sprinkle on your oatmeal, a new vegetable with your dinner, or a fresh berry on your dessert. Quickly, you’ll start to learn which superfoods you like and which don’t take your fancy, and from there, you can start eating more of them on a regular basis.

  • Make Super Smoothies

One of the easiest ways to get a big hit of superfood goodness is in a super smoothie. Super smoothies are great if you’re on the go, like to hide your veggies, or simply prefer to drink your meals rather than eat them! Throw in fruit, vegetables, nut butter, and even seeds and experiment with bases and flavors. There are dozens of different superfood smoothie recipes to try, but here are three of our protein-packed favorites.

  • Upgrade Your Desserts

Last but not least, if you have a sweet tooth, then a sneaky way to eat more superfoods is to center your desserts around superfood ingredients like berries, bananas, and other superfruits. For some tasty crunch, why not add in some nuts or seeds? And you could even mix in some superfood powders like chlorella or acai powder.
